The Best Electronics Store Guide for Smart Shoppers in Bangkok
Bangkok is packed with shopping malls, markets, boutique shops, and hypermarkets. There are at least 40 shopping malls in Bangkok, and many of them offer an incredible variety of stores.
Shopping malls are all around the city, but when it comes to electronics malls and shops, there are only a few that are really worth visiting. In this post, we'll take a look at the best electronics malls and stores, so you can find the items you need during your stay in Bangkok!
Power Buy – Central Chidlom
Power Buy is a very reliable Thai electronics store that can be found in shopping malls all across the country. TV & Entertainment, Home & Lifestyle, home Appliances, Phone/Tablet, Gaming items, Computers & Office, Gadgets, and Accessories are just a few of the things that make Power Buy such a great place to shop at. Power Buy sells pretty much anything tech-related and at very competitive prices.

This store is a general consumer electronics store, meaning they might not have every single electrical item on earth, but they will have the most popular and latest items. Power Buy usually stocks the latest laptops, phones, TVs, and cameras. However, if you're looking for something very rare and specific, you might not be able to find it at Power Buy, but it's definitely worth checking as they usually sell most electronic items.
Although it's quite common to find a Power Buy store in many Thai shopping malls, they do vary in size and variety of items. One of my personal favorite Power Buy stores is located in Central Mall, Chidlom. This is a shopping mall in the city centre of Bangkok, and the Power Buy there has a massive variety of electronics. IT City
IT City is another franchise store, similar to Power Buy. It sells a huge variety of consumer electronics at very reasonable prices. You can find IT City in shopping malls all around the country, and there are plenty of them in Bangkok.
They sell general consumer electronics, stocking everything from laptops, phones, and game consoles to fridges and washing machines. While there is nothing particularly special about IT City, they are a very good and reliable option. If you want to buy from a great company with tons of variety, then this is a solid choice.

This IT City shop mentioned above is around a 10-minute walk from the Power Buy in the previous section, making it great if you want to visit both in one day to compare prices or products.
Big Camera
Big Camera is a big name in Thailand for digital cameras and camera equipment. Among all the Big Camera stores in Bangkok, the one at CentralWorld is the best. This flagship store has everything from entry-level to professional DSLR and mirrorless cameras. You can also find a wide range of camera accessories such as tripods, lenses, and memory cards.

There are plenty of other camera shops around Bangkok, but Big Camera is a solid choice, especially as they have such a wide variety of products all within one shop. If a product is out of stock, the staff can usually order it to the store, plus the prices at Big Camera are very competitive.
There are also photo printers and editing software to complete your photography needs. With staff who are knowledgeable and can demonstrate, Big Camera at CentralWorld is a one-stop shop for both amateur and professional photographers.

Amorn Electronic stores can be found throughout Bangkok, but I have included the address to one of the stores down below in case you need it. Compared to other properties in the area, Amorn Electronics stands out for its extensive product range and exceptional customer service.

Bangkok is not just home to a ton of electronics stores, it also has a great variety of electronics malls, with most shops inside the malls dedicated to selling electronics. Let's take a look at some of the best electronic malls in the city!
Fortune Town
Situated in the center of Bangkok's Phra Ram 9 is the famous Fortune Town IT Mall. This mall is known as one of the smaller electronics malls in Bangkok, but it still has a good variety of shops. There is everything from phone shops to camera and audio shops.
Fortune Town has 4 floors of individual shopping stores, with affordable prices for devices and accessories. This unique mall offers a variety of shops and services, including supermarkets, specialty stores, banks, financial services, restaurants, fast food, cafes, bakeries, ice cream shops, personal care and cosmetic stores, and more.

Fortune Town is not quite as popular as MBK Center, but this makes it less busy and easier to look around. Shops here are also not used to large amounts of tourists, and for the most part they do not hassle you to buy anything. There are usually fixed prices in the shops, and the prices are very reasonable at Fortune Town.

Fortune Town also offers various dining options, from fast food to cafes and a great food court, making it a convenient one-stop shopping destination. Fortune Town's convenient location next to Phra Ram 9 MRT Station provides easy access for both locals and tourists. There is also a giant shopping mall called Central Rama 9 directly across the road from Fortune Town, along with Jodd Fairs Rama 9 Night Market nearby too. This makes it a great place for shoppers to get all kinds of goods in one area.
MBK Center
MBK Center is the go-to for consumer electronics, especially smaller goods like cables, phone cases, and cheap electronics.
Located in the heart of Bangkok, this bustling mall has everything from affordable mobile phones and digital cameras to laptops and tablets. The mall has many accessory stalls selling phone cases and chargers, headphones, and spare parts.
MBK Center is a great place for those who like to buy small gadgets like phone cases, USB cables, power banks, and cheap electronics. It's also a pretty good place to buy more expensive items like cameras, mobile phones, and gaming consoles.
There are plenty of shops at the MBK Center, and you can find pretty much anything there. The mall is home to a number of restaurants, along with a great food court and general souvenir shops too, so it's a great place for general shopping, not just electronics.

This mall is a tourist attraction in itself, and it's usually packed with visitors from all over the world, making it a great experience for those who like a bustling atmosphere. If you're looking for a more quiet and local place to shop, then some of the other stores mentioned in this post might be a better option. However, I still recommend browsing the shops at the MBK Center, as the variety is great and the prices can be good too if you shop around.
Some of the smaller shops that sell gadgets will allow you to haggle for a better price, but other shops will have fixed prices, so be aware that not all shops will allow haggling.

Pantip Plaza
Pantip Plaza was once my favorite electronics mall in Bangkok. I have not visited Pantip Plaza recently, but from the information I have gathered, Pantip Plaza appears to have had most of its shops closed in 2024.

I'm hoping this electronics mall can have a resurgence and begin to reopen some of the shops in this mall, but for now it seems like Pantip Plaza is mostly shut down. I'll keep this post updated if I find any further information or attempt to visit again.
How to Find the Best Deals
